Working Together
to end Homelessness

Welcome to CATH

Churches Action for the Homeless (CATH) is a local charity which supports, encourages and promotes the development and delivery of projects to relieve homelessness and poor housing, improve the conditions of life and generally aid the development of persons who are homeless in the Perth and Kinross Council area.

The organisation recognises the associated problems that homelessness presents and works to alleviate those and help maintain and improve the quality of life of our beneficiaries.

We help significant numbers of people each year to overcome homelessness issues through our projects which include a drop-in Day Centre, emergency hostel, tenancy support teamoutreach and street work team and literacy/numeracy support.

CATH is a private company limited by guarantee and a charity regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.

Why not get involved?

Homelessness is a growing issue, especially in this troubled economic climate. Every bit of support that you can offer is gratefully received.

Perhaps you could spare a few hours each week to volunteer in one of our projects? You may have some items that we could make use of in our projects or charity shop? Maybe you'd like to become a member and have your say in the future of CATH? Or, donate just £1 per month via our CATH 500 programme?

Everything helps. Just get in touch, and we'll take it from there.

Our mission statement Working together to end homelessness defines our commitment to meet the needs and improve the quality of life for those
disadvantaged and excluded though the cycle of homelessness.

We provide support by working in a non-judgemental and fully inclusive manner within our direct access Hostel, Day Centre, Tenancy Support team, Outreach street work team, Adult literacy programme and Charity Shop.

We wish to continue this work by adding to our small and dynamic team of management committee members who devote approximately 4 hours of their time every 8 weeks.
